Working Principle
The spiral classifier is a type of mechanical classification equipment that operates on the principle of differing settling rates of solid particles in liquid due to variations in specific gravity. It is widely applicable in mineral processing plants, where it can be paired with ball mills to form a closed-circuit cycle for classifying ore sands. It is also used in gravity beneficiation plants to separate ore sands from fine sludge, as well as in metal mineral processing circuits for particle size classification of slurries.
