Limestone, referred to as limestone, is a carbonate rock mainly composed of calcite. Mining machines sometimes contain dolomite, clay minerals and clastic minerals, including gray, gray white, gray black, yellow, light red, maroon and other colors, and the hardness is generally small.

From south to north and from east to west, China's mining machinery provinces have rich limestone reserves with good quality and great development value, especially suitable for the production and manufacture of machine-made sand.

Limestone machine-made sand is made of limestone quarry waste, waste residue, stone powder, etc., which are mechanically crushed, washed and screened by mining machines. The limestone machine-made sand processed according to the above process has the following advantages:

1. According to the requirements of national standards and engineering quality, mining machines can control the technical indicators such as the grain size of machine-made sand to meet the engineering requirements.

2. The shape of machine-made sand particles is mostly angular, and the surface is rough. Mining machines are conducive to bonding with cement and other cementitious materials, and to improving the strength of concrete.

3. The production of machine-made sand can be combined with the production process of crushed stone, which is conducive to the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.

The production process of machine-made sand mainly includes two stages of crushing and three stages of crushing. The small machine-made sand production lines of mining machines mostly use two stages of crushing and screening process. Some large machine-made sand production lines mostly use three stages of crushing and screening process because of the large size of materials.

Generally speaking, the production of limestone machine-made sand mainly adopts three stages of crushing, namely coarse crushing, medium and fine crushing and sand making:

Generally, jaw crusher is used for coarse crushing;

Medium crushing generally adopts impact crusher;

Vertical shaft crusher or cone crusher is generally used for fine crushing and sand making.
